Claire Martin has over 18 years of experience working in various roles within international organizations. Claire served as the Chief Operating Officer for the International Law Association, where they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations. Prior to that, they worked as a Programme Manager for the Centenary Woods Programme at the Woodland Trust, leading a portfolio of projects aimed at commemorating the First World War through tree-planting initiatives. Claire also served as the Secretary General for the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, where they managed the day-to-day operations and worked on long-term objectives for the association. Claire began their career as the London Liaison Officer for the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative, representing the organization in the UK and providing support to relevant partners and organizations.

Claire Martin's education history includes a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Hons degree from De Montfort University, obtained between 1996 and 1999. Claire later pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Law at the University of Nottingham from 1999 to 2000. Additionally, they completed a course in Business Administration and Management at The Open University in 2007.
