Kyle Obermann is a seasoned Conservation & Climate Photographer, Filmmaker, and Journalist, proficient in Mandarin, with extensive experience in producing and documenting indigenous environmental and climate stories in China through various media formats. Since founding Kyle Obermann Photography in June 2016, Kyle has captured 40 significant stories published with both local and international news outlets while amassing a following of over 300,000. As a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers since July 2019, Kyle participates in a three-year mentorship program. Previous roles include serving as a CSR and Adventure Photographer for The North Face, where sponsorship of conservation groups in China was documented, and as the main photographer for Conservation International's project sites in China. Academic qualifications include a Postgraduate degree in Chinese Language from Peking University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Chinese, and Environmental Studies from St. Olaf College.
