Joy Heath Rush has a long and diverse work experience. Joy started their career in 1999 at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP as the Director of Applications for nine years. In 2005, they joined the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) as the Board Liaison to Peer Groups. Joy then moved to Sidley Austin LLP in 2008, where they held positions as the Enterprise End User Services Director and later as the Director of Enterprise Multimedia Services. In 2007, they became the President of ILTA and served in this role until 2009, when they became the Past President. In 2014, they joined Litera Microsystems as the VP of Client Development (Law Firms) and later became the VP of Client Development. Joy returned to ILTA in 2018 as the Interim CEO before becoming the Chief Executive Officer in 2019.
Joy Heath Rush attended Woodson High School from 1973 to 1977, where they earned their high school diploma. Following that, they pursued higher education at Georgetown University from 1977 to 1981, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) with a major in International Politics.
