Derek Miller

Derek Miller's work experience begins in 2014 as an intern at Community Foundation DeKalb County, where they collaborated with the education initiative and participated in various tasks such as drafting press releases and updating brochures. Derek then worked as a Sales Associate at Famous Footwear from 2013 to 2014 before transitioning to become an Assistant Manager in the summer of 2014. In 2014, they also took on a part-time role as a Marketing Analyst/Intern at Denise Swick & Company RE/MAX Alliance. Their responsibilities included managing online accounts, writing blogs, and creating marketing promotions. In 2015, Derek joined imavex as a Digital Marketing Specialist, where they handled Search Engine Marketing accounts and operated PPC campaigns. Derek later became a Digital Marketing Team Lead in 2016. Since 2017, Derek has been working at International Medical Group (IMG), starting as a Digital Marketing Manager and eventually transitioning to the role of Director of Marketing in November 2020.

Derek Miller completed their high school education at West Carrollton High School from 2007 to 2011. Derek then attended Trine University from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication with a focus on Public Relations. Derek also completed minors in Marketing and Management during their time at Trine University.

In terms of additional certifications, Derek obtained the following certifications: Content Marketing, Email Marketing, and Inbound from HubSpot in November 2016. Additionally, they received certifications in Adwords Shopping Advertising from Google in September 2016, and Adwords Display Advertising, Adwords Mobile Advertising, Adwords Search Advertising, Adwords Video Advertising, and Google Analytics in November 2015. In November 2014, they completed the Adwords Fundamentals certification from Google.
