Jim Courson has extensive experience in both editorial and spatial data analysis roles, currently serving as an Editor at the Registry of Peoples since January 2010, where the focus is on standardizing codes for identifying global people groups. In addition, Jim has been associated with the International Mission Board since October 1990 in various capacities, including Spatial Data Analyst and Field Missionary. Jim's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Samford University, a Master of Divinity in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology in Missions from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a GIS Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Penn State University.
