Apostolos A is an experienced economist with a robust background in international macroeconomics. Currently serving as an economist at the International Monetary Fund since September 2022, Apostolos previously held similar roles at the European Central Bank from October 2019 to September 2022 and at the International Monetary Fund from September 2014 to September 2019. Apostolos began a career in the field as an associate at The World Bank between October 2009 and September 2011 and worked as an analyst at Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets from September 2007 to September 2009. Additional roles include serving as a teaching assistant at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies from September 2011 to August 2014 and as a PhD trainee at the European Central Bank in 2013. Apostolos holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Macroeconomics from the Geneva Graduate Institute, as well as a Master’s in Economics from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor’s in Economics from UCLA.
