James Rowe is an experienced consultant and editor specializing in economics and finance. Currently serving as a consultant to the Chief Economist for the Middle East and North Africa at The World Bank and as a consulting editor for Finance & Development Magazine at the International Monetary Fund, James provides editorial advice and editing services. Previous roles include writing consultant for the African Development Bank Group and senior editor at the IMF's Finance & Development Magazine, where key economic issues were discussed. James began a long career at The Washington Post, working as an editor and reporter focused on economic policy and finance from 1971 to 2006. James holds an AB in Economics from The Catholic University of America and studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
