Kiara Mendez

Kiara Mendez currently serves as a Budget Officer at the International Monetary Fund, co-leading a budget team and managing the Medium-Term Budget Projection for Capacity Development work since June 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Technical Assistance Officer and Budget Analyst within the same organization, where responsibilities involved budget management for capacity development programs and data analysis for budget execution. Previously, Kiara held positions such as Executive Project Manager at Bitt, where leadership in project coordination and marketing for a digital wallet was critical, and Corporate Affairs Manager, managing relationships with international organizations. Kiara's early career includes contributions to various organizations, including the Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations, along with a solid educational background comprising a Master's degree in Development Studies from SOAS University of London and dual Bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and Economics from American University.
