Matthew Day

Matthew Day currently serves as an Advisor to the Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund, a role started in August 2022, where responsibilities include supporting the Executive Director in managing constituency duties. Previous experience includes positions at the Department of Finance Ireland as Assistant Principal in the SME Access to Credit/Non Banking Section and at the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation focusing on Company Law Development and Policy. Matthew has also contributed as a Legal Researcher for the Oireachtas and the Office of the Attorney General Ireland, among other roles. Educational achievements include an LL.B. from Trinity College Dublin and various diplomas and certificates in Civil Service and State Agency Studies from the Institute of Public Administration. Additionally, Matthew's artistic skills are evidenced through a long tenure as a Lay Vicar Choral and freelance singer and conductor at Christchurch Cathedral.
