Robert Tchaidze is a distinguished economist with extensive experience in both academia and international financial institutions. Currently, Tchaidze serves on the Governing Board of the Georgian Economic Association since September 2020 and is a member at large of the Academic Board at the International School of Economics at TSU, where teaching roles have included macroeconomic courses. As a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund since October 2002, Tchaidze has contributed as a desk economist for various countries and held the position of Resident Representative in the West Bank and Gaza. Tchaidze's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, an MA in Economics from the New Economic School, and an MA equivalent in Mathematics from Tbilisi State University.
