Tidiane Kinda

Senior Resident Representative For South Africa at International Monetary Fund

Tidiane Kinda is a seasoned economist with extensive experience at the International Monetary Fund since June 2009, currently serving as the Senior Resident Representative for South Africa. At the IMF, Kinda has held roles including Deputy Division Chief and Mission Chief in the Asia and Pacific Department, leading missions for countries such as Nepal, the Maldives, and Palau, as well as serving as the lead desk on Indonesia. Previous positions include notable tenures at Columbia University as a Research Fellow and at Université d'Auvergne as a Lecturer and Research Fellow. Kinda also contributed as an Economist Consultant for The World Bank and held a fellowship with the Central Bank of West African States. Kinda earned a Ph.D. in Economics from CERDI - Université d'Auvergne and completed Executive Education on Leadership at MIT Sloan School of Management.
