John Giancarlo

John Giancarlo is an experienced professional in Olympic technology and energy management, currently serving as Associate Director for Olympic Games Technology & Energy at the International Olympic Committee since April 2007. In this role, John oversees technology and energy projects for both Summer and Winter Games, coordinating efforts with organizing committees, government entities, sponsors, and service providers to ensure operational readiness. Prior experience includes managing the Venue Technology Programme for the Doha Asian Games in 2006, serving as a consultant for the Athens 2004 Organizing Committee, and fulfilling the position of Precinct Technology Manager for the Sydney Organising Committee. John holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Design and Building Construction from Texas A&M University.
