IOM - UN Migration
Aamir Mukhtar has extensive experience in cash-based interventions and humanitarian response, currently serving as a Cash-Based Initiatives Officer at IOM - UN Migration since July 2015. Responsibilities include leading the CBI Team in managing activities for protection and livelihood assistance, overseeing responses to Afghan and 2022 Flood emergencies, and coordinating cash-based programs for Ukrainian migrants in Slovakia. Previous roles encompass managing multi-purpose cash assistance for Afghan migrants in Pakistan and supporting emergency response initiatives. Additional experience includes conducting field assessments following the earthquake in Azad Kashmir and working as a research fellow focused on poverty alleviation through agricultural productivity enhancement. Aamir holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, and Mathematics, as well as a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
