Julie Black is an accomplished legal and conflict resolution professional with extensive experience in international humanitarian law and organizational governance. Since June 2019, Julie has served as a Conflict Resolution Officer at IOM - UN Migration, conducting research, analyzing complex issues, and drafting crucial organizational reports, while also supporting the launch of IOM’s Respectful Quest program. Previously, as an Associate Ombuds Officer and Associate Programme Officer at the same organization, Julie contributed significantly to the resolution of personnel issues and produced numerous reports. With prior roles spanning legal practice, including Junior Partner at the Law Office of Katherine D. Black and Legal Intern at the International Committee of the Red Cross, Julie has developed a strong foundation in legal research and client advisory. Julie holds a Master of Laws in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy and a Juris Doctor from BYU Law School.
