Thomas Ryan

Thomas Ryan is an experienced legal professional specializing in global intellectual property matters, currently serving as Chief Counsel for International Paper since October 2007. In this role, Thomas oversees the organization's global intellectual property issues across industrial packaging, global sourcing, and corporate functions, while also providing expertise to business units on agreements and transnational transactions. Prior to this, Thomas held positions including Senior Counsel for Intellectual Property and Associate at DLA Piper. Thomas has contributed to the legal field as a board member for both the University of Dayton-PILT Advisory Board and CincyIP, and holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
