Serena Kumalmaz is a skilled Litigation Paralegal at the International Refugee Assistance Project since May 2019, focusing on challenging systemic issues faced by refugees and asylum seekers. Prior experience includes a Development Intern role at the Urban Justice Center, where research on funding sources, grant proposal drafting, and social media management contributed to project success. Additionally, an internship at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre provided early professional experience. Serena holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Environmental Engineering from Columbia University and completed Arabic language studies at the Qasid Arabic Institute.
