Mark Rijsdijk

Mark Rijsdijk is a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in regulatory and operational roles. Currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Maritime Affairs at International Registries since April 2009, Mark previously held the position of Chairman of the drafting/working group for the International Maritime Organization from July 2016 to July 2023, where responsibilities included leading discussions and presenting reports on survey guidelines and obligations related to the implementation of IMO instruments. Earlier experience includes roles as Technical Administrator at Lloyd's Register from June 2007 to March 2009, Shift Team Leader and Loading Master at Euro Tank Terminal from June 2006 to May 2007, and various positions aboard short sea and inland waters LPG carriers with Chemgas Shipping BV from June 1999 to May 2006.
