Jongsoo Shin

Jongsoo Shin is currently the Asia Director at the International Rice Research Institute. Prior to this, Jongsoo held various roles such as Director General at KOTRA, IRRI Myanmar Representative at the International Rice Research Institute, and Senior ODA EXPERT in Agriculture at KOICA. With a background in agronomy and crop science, Jongsoo has also served in roles such as Global Product Manager at Monsanto Company and Head of Marketing at Syngenta. Shin holds a PhD in Agronomy and Crop Science from Korea University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Guelph.
