Joy Gimena

Joy Gimena currently serves as the Head of Information Technology at the International Rice Research Institute, beginning in April 2024. Prior to this role, Joy held several significant positions at International Care Ministries, including Senior Technical Advisor and Director of Technology, where focus was placed on addressing the needs of families living in ultrapoverty through the organization’s Transform program. Joy's experience also includes various roles at Jabian Consulting, where responsibilities spanned from Sr. Data and Analytics Manager to Management Consultant, engaging in strategic management and technology consulting. Joy’s academic background includes a Master of Science in Computational Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Gordon College. Additionally, Joy possesses expertise in research, data analytics, and technology management, complemented by a Mandarin immersion experience at Peking University.
