John Burns

John Burns has a diverse work experience in the field of education and technology. John served as the Chief Innovation Officer at International Schools Services, where they led the development of hubs for creativity, innovation, and professional learning. John also initiated an idea management program and designed online professional learning events. Prior to that, they were the Director of Learning Innovation at Shekou International School, where they formulated a vision and strategic plan for implementing contemporary teaching and learning practices. John received recognition for their work and created a framework for pedagogical growth. Before that, John worked at Apple as a Development Executive, organizing professional learning events and managing programs focused on technology in education. Additionally, they have experience as the Director of iKonstrukt - App Development, where they developed successful iOS apps and provided edtech consultancy to various organizations.

John Burns completed their Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Education from Griffith University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Later, from 2021 to 2023, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Learning and Leadership from the University of Technology Sydney.
