Tom Hawkins Ed.d.

Tom Hawkins, Ed.D. has a strong background in international education and leadership. Tom is currently the Vice President of School Startups, Management and Operations at International Schools Services, a non-profit organization that provides services to over 800 international schools worldwide. In this role, they lead a team of experts in various areas such as architecture, school startups, curriculum, and strategic planning to help schools succeed. Prior to this, Tom served as the Director of the American School of Doha, where they were responsible for the well-being of over 2250 students and 350 staff members. Tom has also held leadership positions at St. John's International School, the International School of Beijing, and the International School of Stavanger. Tom's experience encompasses a range of educational roles, emphasizing their expertise and dedication to fostering positive, global citizens.

Tom Hawkins, Ed.D. earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications from the University of St. Thomas in the years 1982 to 1986. Tom then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Educational Policy and Administration at the University of Minnesota from 1989 to 1992. Continuing their education, they obtained a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) with a specialization in International School Leadership from the University of Minnesota between 1994 and 2002.
