David Vago is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in psychological research and mindfulness practices. As the Founding Partner at Alethia Partners since October 2024, Vago focuses on science-backed strategies for product optimization. Currently serving as a Board Member at the Thich Nhat Hanh Center for Mindfulness in Public Health and at the Sadhguru Center for a Conscious Planet, Vago also holds the position of President at the International Society for Contemplative Research, starting January 2025. Vago has contributed to the field as an Associate Psychologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital since January 2009 and was a Research Lead at RoundGlass from December 2020 to April 2024, specializing in well-being research. With a strong academic background, Vago served as an Associate Professor and Director of the Contemplative Neuroscience & Mind-Body Research Laboratory at Vanderbilt University from September 2016 to January 2023, and as Core Training Faculty at the Vanderbilt Brain Institute during the same period. Vago's education includes a PhD in Cognitive & Neural Sciences from the University of Utah and research training at Harvard Medical School.
