Soma Pappu has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. They started their career in 2003 as a Technical Manager at Invincible Software Solutions Integrated Pvt. Ltd and later joined Nationwide as a Software Architect from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, Soma Pappu worked as a Senior Consultant at the U.S. Department of Labor before transitioning to Time Warner Cable as a Senior Software Architect from 2009 to 2014. They then joined GovernmentCIO as a Solutions Architect at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2014. Additionally, Soma Pappu has experience in project management as a Project Manager at International Software Systems Inc. since 2005. They hold certifications in CSM, PMP, and ITIL.
Soma Pappu pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Osmania University, completing it in the years 2001 to 2005. Following this, they attended Bowie State University from 2010 to 2011 and obtained a Master's degree in Information Systems.
In terms of certifications, Soma Pappu obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in April 2018. Soma also holds the ITIL v3 certification from ITIL Managers, obtained in March 2014. In addition, they have the Advanced certified expert certification from Adobe, received in February 2014. Soma Pappu is a project management professional certified by the Project Management Institute since May 2011. Recently, in July 2021, they became a CMMI Appraisal Team Member through the Software Engineering Institute.
