Ian Humphreys CEnv has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to sustainability and environmental management. Ian started their career at British Sugar in 1995, where they held positions such as Project Manager, Area Manager (Operations), and Environmental Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for ensuring environmental compliance, managing teams, and developing strategies for energy, water, waste management, and legal compliance.
In 2007, Ian joined International Synergies Limited (ISL) as the Director of Operations and later became the Chief Operating Officer. During their time at ISL, Ian played a key role in promoting sustainable practices and implementing circular economy approaches. Ian managed a team of business managers and coordinated with regional teams to meet sustainability targets. Ian also led various projects related to carbon reduction, zero waste strategies, and international sustainability programs.

Ian Humphreys CEnv attended King Edward Grammar School from 1985 to 1987. After completing their secondary education, they went on to study at The University of Sheffield from 1987 to 1990. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry.
