Kristen Hughes has extensive work experience in the legal field. Kristen began their career as an attorney at Alston & Bird LLP in September 2010, where they worked until April 2014. Following this, they joined American & Efird in April 2014 as a Corporate Counsel and later became the General Counsel in August 2018. In the same year, they also began working as the General Counsel at International Textile Group. In 2018, Hughes transitioned to Elevate Textiles, where they first served as the General Counsel until September 2021. Kristen then assumed the roles of Chief Legal Officer & Chief Human Resources Officer. Throughout their various positions, Hughes has gained expertise in legal matters and human resources.
Kristen Hughes completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Theatre at Davidson College from 2001 to 2005. Kristen then went on to pursue a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at the University of South Carolina School of Law, which they obtained from 2006 to 2009.
