Surajit Ghosh

Surajit Ghosh is a seasoned professional in remote sensing and GIS, currently serving as a Regional Researcher at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) since September 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Spatial Scientist at ICARDA and Manager at Iora Ecological Solutions, along with earlier positions at APRIL and the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) under ISRO, where Surajit progressed from Junior Research Fellow to Senior Research Fellow. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, a PG Diploma in Remote Sensing from IIRS, an M. Phil. in Oceanography from Jadavpur University, and a Master in Computer Application from the West Bengal University of Technology. Earlier work experience also includes an internship at IWMI and a role as Project Assistant at Kolkata Port Trust.
