Makara Vorn

Makara Vorn currently serves as a Program Coordinator at the International Women's Development Agency (IWDA), focusing on partnership management and program implementation in Cambodia and Myanmar since April 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Program Officer at UNESCO, where engagement centered on media development and freedom of expression, and involvement in the “Access to Information Law” project. Makara also contributed as a Communications Specialist at UNDP Cambodia and completed research consultancy with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). Earlier roles included Program Coordinator and Radio Producer at ABC, as well as freelance journalism for The Phnom Penh Post and The Economics Today Magazine. Makara holds a Master’s Degree in Media from RMIT University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Management from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
