ason founded Internet Lava in 2010 after narrowing his focus to digital marketing for law firms. In 2013, Jason co-founded Lawyer Legion, a professional networking platform for attorneys and nonprofit legal associations. A vision shared with his clients and colleagues, Lawyer Legion provides attorneys and the general public with a unique resource for finding, researching and evaluating legal professionals and organizations. The only commercial lawyer directory to emphasize ABA-accredited specialty certification programs and educate the public about their importance. Lawyers can create a free profile page to showcase their professional accomplishments and advertise their law practice.
Jason has spoken at legal marketing conferences and CLE seminars for several organizations on topics related to online marketing strategies for law firms. Jason is also an expert in user interface design, data-driven application development, video production and search engine optimization.
Jason was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His career started in the visual arts and then transitioned to website design and online marketing. Jason’s experience working professionally with web content began in 2004 when he worked as a Subject Matter Expert for DIRECTV’s DORIS Team. DORIS stands for DIRECTV Online Reference Information System, an internal website that provided guidance for thousands of customer service representatives within the company. Jason left the corporate environment in 2008 and moved to Houston where he began working on digital marketing projects for a variety of small businesses.
After working closely with several criminal defense attorneys, Jason was able to achieve such phenomenal results that he decided to launch Internet Lava with the goal of helping law firms connect with their ideal clients.
Jason earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Web Design and Interactive Media from The Art Institute of Houston in 2012.
Jason served as Executive Director of the Houston chapter of NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) for two years, appearing on local television programs including Reasonable Doubt, a weekly news broadcast by produced by the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association.
