Sarah Armstrong

Sarah Armstrong serves as the Founding Executive Director of the Internet Society Foundation since July 2019, focusing on granting support to enhance the positive impact of the Internet on humanity. In addition, Sarah is the Founder and Chairperson of the A Brighter Tomorrow for Africa Foundation, established in 2004 to improve the lives of women and children in Sierra Leone through the support of community-based organizations. Previous roles include Senior Director of Marketing Communications at Abt Associates, where Sarah managed a team responsible for external communications, and various positions that involved strategic outreach and communication in global health and development. With a background in communications and leadership, Sarah has also run a fitness instruction program and developed communications strategies for international health initiatives. Sarah holds a degree in French Studies from Dickinson College and the Université de Montpellier.
