Esther Mwiyeria Kioni

Ms. Esther Mwiyeria Kioni serves as the Senior Director of Training and e-Learning at the Internet Society since March 2021, after holding the position of Training Director at GESCI from 2007 to March 2021. With over 14 years of experience managing and implementing educational projects across African countries, Ms. Kioni has a strong background in educational technology and capacity development. Past roles include Country Projects Manager at the Global e-Schools and Communities Initiative and Training Manager at Insight Technologies Limited. Early in the career, Ms. Kioni worked as a Lead Trainer for Data Dynamics Limited and as a lecturer at Kenya Polytechnic. Ms. Kioni holds a Post Graduate Diploma in African Leadership in ICT from Dublin City University, a Master's in Education Technology from the University of Twente, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Studies from Kenyatta University.
