Prior to these positions, they were the Vice President of Enterprise Architecture at LPL Financial from 2015 to 2022. In 2015, they worked as a Consultant and Solution Architect at Silverline. From 2013 to 2015, they held the position of Director, Force.com Consulting at CodeScience, Inc. Before that, they served as the VP of IT Product Development - Customer Facing Technology at First American Financial Corporation from 2001 to 2013. Tom also worked as the Director of Product Management at Escrow.com in 2000 and held the role of Director of Business Development at First American Financial Corporation from 1996 to 2000.
Tom Payne earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Science from Lakeland University in 2013. Tom then went on to complete their Masters (M.S.E.) in Software Engineering from Penn State University between 2013 and 2015. In 2020, they obtained certifications from AWS Training & Certification in Advanced Architecting on AWS and Architecting on AWS. Prior to their degree at Lakeland University, Tom studied Computer Science at Palomar College from 2009 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, Tom earned the following: Confluent Kafka Fundamentals from Confluent in February 2021, Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant in 2013, Salesforce.com Certified Administrator in 2013, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator in 2012, Salesforce Certified Force.com Developer in 2010, Visual Basic .Net, Web Developer - ASP.Net, and Web Developer - Java from Palomar College in 2009. Additionally, they have plans to obtain the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification in March 2023 from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
