Sean O'Brien

Sean O'Brien has a diverse work experience in various roles and responsibilities. Sean worked at Internet2 from 2014, where they held positions such as Associate Vice President, Director, Lead Program Manager, and Program Manager, focusing on the development and management of cloud services for the research and education community. Prior to that, they worked at Merkle as a Project Manager, responsible for new client onboarding and IT projects. Additionally, they worked at the University of Mary Washington as an IT Project Manager, establishing the IT Project Management Office and managing key IT projects, and also as an IT Project Coordinator and Researcher in the Office of the CIO, supporting policy, strategic planning, and special projects.

Sean O'Brien graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Sean then attended Gonzaga University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Communication and Leadership Studies in 2014. In addition to their degrees, O'Brien also obtained certifications as a presenter at the 2014 and 2015 EDUCAUSE Annual Conferences.
