Lyle Fictum has over 20 years of work experience in the technology field. From 2000 to 2005, they worked as a Training & Communication Specialist for AEGON Americas, where they supported 90+ internal employees and managed several small teams for research projects. From 2005 to 2009, they worked as a Storage Engineer for UHS-Pruitt Corporation, where they were responsible for SAN/NAS administration, new implementations, maintenance, problem resolution, and performance tuning. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a BRS Systems Engineer for EMC, where they were responsible for discovery of customer infrastructure, designed architecture based on goals & challenges, and educated customers and partners on Backup/Recovery, Deduplication, Disaster Recovery, and Data Archiving. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Solutions Architect for PC Connection, Inc., where they educated customers on general best practices & new technology concepts. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Solutions Architect for SimpliVity Corporation, where they were responsible for presentations/demos, enablement, discovery & scoping, solution design, proposals, POCs, overseeing deployments, and performing knowledge transfers. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as a System Engineer for Pure Storage, where they evangelized Next Gen storage solutions to Public Sector verticals and was responsible for channel support and enablement. Currently, they are a Solutions Engineer for Internetwork Engineering.
