Kaizar Campwala serves as CEO at The Center for Investigative Reporting. Prior to that he was the Vice President, Business Operations and Insights for ABC News where he oversaw analytics, business development, and operations for Good Morning America, ABC News, and FiveThirtyEight.
Over the course of his career, Campwala has helped great journalism and media organizations thrive. He co-founded and served as President of CALmatters, a statehouse reporting organization in Sacramento, led Stitcher’s business development team during the company’s formative years and was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Al Jazeera where he launch an award-winning series of podcasts.
Campwala holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and an MBA from UCLA.
