Nikolay Marchenko is a multifaceted media professional with extensive experience in journalism, research, and public relations. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at Internews and a Researcher at SembraMedia since June 2022, Nikolay also holds the position of Associate Member at the Association of European Journalists - Bulgaria. As a Co-Founder of sPRing Lab PR Agency since December 2014, expertise in PR consulting and strategies for start-ups and IT companies has been demonstrated. In upcoming roles, Nikolay will lead Marchen Communications Ltd., a newly established PR consulting and media relations company. Experience includes serving as a Journalist Scholar at Süddeutsche Zeitung, Deputy Editor in Chief at Bivol - Bulgaria's Investigative Media Outlet, and previously as a news reporter and web editor. Educational pursuits include a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Sofia University and ongoing studies in Cross-Border Journalism at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
