Harlee Sorkin

Harlee Sorkin has a diverse range of work experience in various industries and positions. In 1994, they served as the Vice President and COO at Traco Labs, Inc. Harlee then worked as the VP of Marketing and Sales at Degussa BioActives from 2000 to 2001, where they led the transition and rebranding of the company. Harlee also held the role of Director at the Bio Entrepreneur Development Program from 2011 to 2012, creating an ecosystem to support bioscience startups. From 2004 to 2018, they served as the Director of Wealth Management at Busey and was a member of the Board of Directors. Harlee has also been involved with Mentor Management, LLC since 2001, providing management consulting and private equity services. Harlee is currently the CEO of InterShunt Technologies, Inc., a position they have held since 2016. Additionally, Harlee has held multiple roles at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, including Clinical Assistant Professor, Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and Adjunct Lecturer. Harlee is also a part of the National Science Foundation (NSF) as their NSF I-Corps National Teaching Faculty since 2017.

From 1992 to 1996, Harlee Sorkin attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med/Psychology.
