Chigozie Mbonu

Chigozie Mbonu has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. They started their career as a Junior Data Analyst at TECH BRIDGE CONSULTING, where they analyzed customer data and prepared interactive dashboard visuals for clients. Later, Chigozie joined Hamoye.com (Hamoye AI Lab) as a Data Scientist and ML Engineer, where they led a small team and built end-to-end ML solutions for clients. They also served as a bridge between the technical and non-technical teams, communicating results through presentations and pitches. Currently, Chigozie is working as a Lead Data Scientist at Interswitch Group.

Chigozie Mbonu started their education in 2014 at the University of Benin, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering. This course of study lasted from 2014 to 2019. In 2020, Chigozie Mbonu attended two virtual programs. First, they studied Applied Data Science at WorldQuant University for the entirety of that year. They also participated in a Data Science program at Hamoye AI Labs during the same period. Continuing their education in 2021, Chigozie Mbonu enrolled in the Explore Data Science Academy, where they focused on Data Science and Machine Learning with a specialization in Statistics. They concurrently pursued a diploma in Cloud Computing at the Amazon Cloud Foundation Academy (AWS Academy) in the same year.
