Chijioke Oraeki

Chijioke Oraeki has a diverse work experience spanning from 2016 to 2023. Chijioke began their career as an Industrial Trainee at Shell in 2016, where they were responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of high-performance generators and oil pumps. Chijioke prioritized safety by conducting regular toolbox meetings and following strict safety protocols.

In 2019, Chijioke joined Wesco Cable Limited as a Graduate Trainee, where they focused on increasing production efficiency in electric cables by optimizing the production process and identifying areas for improvement in the use of raw materials.

In 2022, Chijioke worked at Decagon as a Software Engineer. In this role, they developed and implemented web solutions using Java and Spring Boot, improving clients' web development processes and increasing efficiency. Chijioke also created RESTful APIs and integrated them with third-party payment solutions, resulting in improved payment processing efficiency. Chijioke's expertise in setting up CI/CD pipelines using Docker, CircleCI, and Kubernetes further reduced deployment time for projects by 40%.

Most recently, Chijioke joined Interswitch Group in 2023 as a Software Engineering Trainee, where they are currently undergoing training and gaining experience in the field.

Chijioke Oraeki attended the University of Agriculture, Makurdi from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Chijioke Oraeki has also completed several certifications. In October 2020, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from the Aveta Business Institute. In July 2020, they became a Graduate Member of The Nigerian Society of Engineers Headquarters. In June 2020, Chijioke Oraeki obtained certifications in Basic First Aid, Environmental Awareness, Environmental Impact Assessment, Health and Safety at Work, and Risk Assessment Practical Application from Novelle Center. Chijioke also completed certifications in Project Management for Beginners from the Project Management Institute in April 2020. In January 2020, they attended the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa and obtained certifications in Management Strategies for People and Resources and Understanding Renewable Energy.
