Elizabeth Okaome has a diverse range of work experience. In 2018, they worked as a Community Manager at The GirlLEAD Project until 2019. From 2019 to 2021, Elizabeth held the roles of Customer Relationship Manager/Drafts Person at DAN ODIETE & CO and Sales Lead/Project Lead at Traindemy, where they analyzed delivery processes, resolved escalated issues, and provided top-notch customer service. In 2021, they founded Empower Their Community. Elizabeth also worked as a Community Manager at Future Academy Africa from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are working as a Product Community Manager at PennyTree and Developer Relations Community Manager at Interswitch Group, starting in 2022.

In August 2018, Elizabeth participated in the "Google African Scholarship Front End Course" offered by Google/Andela. This course focused on front-end development skills.
Elizabeth further expanded their knowledge and skills through additional certifications in subsequent years. In May 2020, they completed the "Jobberman Soft-Skills Training" program provided by Jobberman Nigeria.
In April 2023, Elizabeth obtained the "Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt" certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com. Elizabeth also obtained two certifications in June 2023: "Building a Community Content Calendar" from C School and "The Community MBA" from CMX.
