Opeyemi Toyin Bakare

Opeyemi Toyin Bakare has worked for multiple organizations in various roles.

From 2022 to the present, Bakare has been employed at Interswitch Group as a Product Owner.

In 2019, Bakare joined First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. where they held several positions. From April to May 2022, Bakare served as the Team Lead for Non-Financial Transaction at First Bank BOS. Prior to that, from February 2021 to March 2022, Bakare worked as a Product Owner, collaborating closely with the Product Manager, stakeholders, and business team to establish the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. They also operated within an Agile framework environment, prioritizing work items in the iteration backlog. Bakare's initial role at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. was as an Administrative Officer from March 2019 to March 2022. In that position, they focused on information management, conducted research on ideas, products, consumers, market and industry trends, and presented reports and ideas to colleagues and the business team throughout the design process.

Before joining First Bank of Nigeria Ltd., Bakare served as a Financial Advisor at Oldmutualnigeria from July 2018 to February 2019.

Opeyemi Toyin Bakare obtained a Bachelor's degree in Food Science from the University of Ilorin, from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Bakare has obtained various certifications including Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc. in April 2023, Product Focus Certified Product Manager from Product Focus in February 2023, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com in June 2022. They also completed the Jobberman/First Bank Soft Skills Course on Coursera in June 2021 and the Analytical Thinking and Innovation Skills Track from Everything on Data in July 2020. Furthermore, Bakare obtained the Fundamentals of Digital Marketing certification from Google Digital Skills For Africa in July 2020.
