Anthony Upton

Anthony Upton is a seasoned professional in bioanalytical science with extensive experience leading laboratory operations and product development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as Director of Bioanalytical at Intertek since November 2015, Upton oversees a GCP, GLP, and GMP accredited laboratory specializing in pharmaceutical analysis using a variety of analytical platforms. Prior to this role, Upton held positions such as Head of Development at Absynth Biologics Ltd, where responsibilities included managing vaccine programs, and Associate Director at ICON plc, focusing on immunoassay laboratory services. Upton's experience also includes senior management roles at Emergent BioSolutions and team leadership at Microscience. Upton's academic background includes a PhD in Immunology and a BSc in Biochemistry, both from The University of Sheffield.
