Jesse Ondersma

Jesse Ondersma has significant experience in analytical chemistry, specializing in volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and sustainability. Since January 2013, Jesse has served at Intertek, progressing from Senior Chemist to Department Manager for VOC and Sustainability, where responsibilities include overseeing testing capabilities in an ISO 17025 laboratory, leading VOC product testing, and performing failure analysis using advanced techniques like SEM/EDS and GC/MS. Prior to Intertek, Jesse gained valuable research and teaching experience at Michigan State University as a Graduate Assistant, focusing on spectroelectrochemical methods and semiconductor materials, and served as an Adjunct Laboratory Instructor at Grand Valley State University. Jesse holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Michigan State University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Grand Valley State University.
