Rebecca Carhart

Rebecca Carhart has a diverse work experience spanning multiple positions and industries. Rebecca began their career as a Sales Assistant at Simply Cellular in 2007, and later held roles such as Dietary Aide at Good Samaritan Society and Sales Associate Part-Time at RadioShack. In 2009, they worked as an Editorial Intern at InterVarsity Press and also began their freelance work as an Independent Writer, Copy Editor, and Proofreader. Rebecca continued their freelance work for various organizations, including writing articles for the Northern Seminary website, interviewing international Christian leaders, and editing online copy for small businesses.

In 2010, Rebecca worked as an Enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau and also served as a Freelance Writer for the North American Baptist Conference. Rebecca then became a Personal Assistant in 2011, providing support with household tasks, organization, paperwork, and transportation.

Rebecca returned to InterVarsity Press in 2012, starting as an Editorial Associate before being promoted to Assistant Project Editor and then Associate Project Editor. In these roles, they shepherd books through the editorial and production process, evaluates proposals and manuscripts, writes descriptive copy for books, interviews authors for catalog features, and communicates the significance of particular books to marketing and sales colleagues. Rebecca is currently working as an Associate Academic Editor at InterVarsity Press.

Throughout their career, Rebecca has demonstrated strong writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaborate with authors and colleagues. Their work experience spans the fields of publishing, freelance writing, personal assistance, sales, and customer service.

Rebecca Carhart pursued their education at Taylor University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and Philosophy from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they continued their educational journey at Wheaton College from 2011 to 2014, earning a Master of Arts degree in Christian Formation and Ministry.
