Chad Pickering has a diverse background in data analysis and research. Chad started their career as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at UC Davis, where they analyzed genetic data and performed power analyses for cancer-related studies. Chad then became a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA, where they co-authored publications on health disparities among LGBT military servicemembers. After that, they worked as a Student Ambassador at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, where they conducted surveys and analyzed data to promote policy changes. Chad then transitioned into the field of clinical data science, joining InterVenn Biosciences as a Clinical Data Scientist. Chad developed glycoproteomic classifiers for diagnostic testing and evaluated treatment outcomes for various cancer indications. Chad advanced to a Senior Clinical Data Scientist role, leading large-scale projects and generating statistical analysis plans. In their most recent role as Lead Clinical Data Scientist, they presented at conferences, promoted AI-powered clinical platforms, and secured revenue for the company.
Chad Pickering obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from the University of California, Davis in 2017. Chad then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, which they successfully completed in 2019.
