Jim McDonnell has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Jim began their career in 1993 as a Training Specialist at Correctional Medical Group Companies, Inc. Jim then worked as an IT Contractor for various companies in the St. Louis area from 1995 to 1998. Jim joined Talx Corporation in 1998 as a Systems Integration Manager and stayed with the company until 2004. Following that, they worked at Brand Scaffold Services as an Application Development Manager / Service Desk Manager from 2004 to 2008. Jim then joined CenturyLink (formerly Savvis Inc.) as a Global IT Service Desk Manager from 2008 to 2013. After that, they worked at Netelligent Corporation as an Operations Manager from 2013 to 2016 and as a Business Operations Manager from 2016 to 2017. Finally, they joined InterVision Systems in 2013 as a Manager, Service Delivery Manager and later became a Service Delivery Operations Manager.

Jim McDonnell attended the Basic Institute of Technology in St. Louis from 1983 to 1985 and obtained an Associates degree in Computer Engineering during this time.
