Michael Kashiwagi

Michael Kashiwagi has extensive work experience in the public works and civil engineering field. Michael worked as the Chief Operations Officer at Interwest Consulting Group, where they provided technical assistance and support to city managers and officials on public works programs and projects. Prior to that, they served as the Public Works Director for the City of Sacramento, overseeing a department of 733 employees and managing services such as fleet and street maintenance, traffic engineering, and facility design and construction. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Department Manager at CH2M HILL, where they directed the operations of the civil/transportation department and handled project execution and quality control.

Michael Kashiwagi obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, completing their education at the institution in 1977.
