Barbara Valbuzzi

Barbara Valbuzzi, CFA, currently serves as the Head of Market Analysis & Business Coordination and Head of Market Strategy Research, Managing Director at Intesa Sanpaolo within the IMI CIB Division since July 2020. Valbuzzi also leads the ESG Commission for both ASSIOM FOREX and Associazione Intermediari Mercati Finanziari - ASSOSIM since 2022. A long-time volunteer with the CFA Institute since 1999, Valbuzzi has held various advisory roles, including on the Capital Markets Policy Council (EMEA regional subcommittee) and the European Investment Conference Advisory Group. Prior to her current role, Valbuzzi had an extensive career at Banca IMI as the Head of Market Strategy Research and was involved in the equity strategy team. Additional experience includes positions at CFA Society Italy as a co-founder and board member, proprietary trading at Intesa Sanpaolo, and portfolio management at UBS Italia. Valbuzzi holds a CLEP degree from Università Bocconi and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
