Omar Mukhtar has a wealth of experience in the field of engineering. In 2001, they began their career as a Design Engineer at Communication Enabling Technologies. Omar then moved on to SWECO PIC Oy in 2005, where they worked as a Design Engineer and was responsible for Nokia Networks WCDMA HW testing using VHDL and the verification of FPGA-based DSP systems. In 2006, they worked as a Design Engineer Consultant at Nokia - Finland, where they integrated and enhanced the H. 264 packetizer (RFC 3984) component with Nokia SIP and V/VoIP stack. Later that same year, they joined Mentor Graphics as a Technical Lead, where they performed SIP/IMS/VoIP Competitive & Market Analysis and Applications Platform R&D for Nucleus RTOS based Mobile-handsets. In 2009, they became a Principal Software Engineer at 4M Wireless. In 2010, they returned to Mentor Graphics as a Sr. Technical Lead, and in 2018, they began working as a Software Architect at intilop. Finally, from 2011-2018, Omar was the CEO and Co-founder of Vadion, where they were also the Director of Engineering, responsible for Requirements elicitation, specification and customer interactions, Product scoping and design activities, and Project Management.
Omar Mukhtar completed their MS in Telecom Networks from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned their B.Engg. in Computer Systems from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) from 1998 to 2001.
