Jon Conlin is a Shareholder and Principal with the law firm of Cory Watson, P.C., based in Birmingham, Alabama. A Birmingham native with deep Alabama roots, Jon earned his bachelor’s degree from Samford University before earning his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. A nationally recognized litigator, Jon has devoted his entire practice to representing individuals in complex product, medical, consumer, and toxic exposure cases with a particular focus on multi-party consolidated or MDL work.
Over his twenty years of practice, Jon has been on the trial teams of multiple MDL bellwether or discovery pool cases, has served in various Court appointed Lead Counsel, Plaintiff Steering Committee, and Settlement Counsel positions, and has even served in neutral Settlement Administrator and Special Master capacities. Furthermore, in addition to his court appointed positions and trial work, Jon has personally been involved as the sole, or a primary, contributing settlement model architect for over a dozen confidential global or aggregate multi-party resolutions involving hundreds or thousands of claimants in each.
Along with his litigation practice and spending time with his wife and two daughters, Jon is actively involved in philanthropic and investment activities. Pulling on his varied legal and life experiences, Jon seeks out those businesses which he sees providing forward-facing solutions to the pharmacological, technological, healthcare related, or commercial societal challenges he has observed. This strategy has allowed Jon to make conscientious investment partnerships with cutting edge, twenty-first century, real world problem solvers such as the great team at Practice Interactive.
Jon has used the successes from his work and investments over the years to then give back to the community through his and his wife Amy’s involvement with numerous local and national charities that cater to the neediest of men, women, and children. These organizations include Ronald McDonald House, United Way of Central Alabama, Mitchell’s Place - Comprehensive Autism Treatment Center, The Pantry - Kansas Food Bank, the Crimson Foundation, Susan G. Komen Foundation, and others.
