Yupu Qiao

Senior Scientist at Intra-Cellular Therapies

Yupu Qiao is a Senior Scientist at Intra-Cellular Therapies since January 2018, previously holding the position of Scientist. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant role at the University of South Dakota, where Yupu designed and synthesized a new class of metal-organic supercontainers and studied their enzyme-like properties. As a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Kansas, Yupu developed a metal-free decarboxylative procedure for producing fluorinated compounds and applied this method to create a tebufenpyrad analogue. Earlier, at Texas A&M University-Commerce, Yupu created water-compatible chiral ionic liquid supported aminocatalysts and assessed their catalytic properties. Yupu holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
